We just finished with our only daughters wedding. It ended up being a beautiful affair, elegant, tasteful and yet fun evening. There were so many details to be attended to, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Details; that is the name of the wedding game. What color napkins? What color linens? Chair covers or not? Where to find faux diamond brooches for the brides maids? What kind of vases, what to serve? On and on these endless questions go, but the one that stumped me the longest was what to hang as a centerpiece in the middle of the room.
It was an elegant reception center over looking a golf course, I felt the ceiling centerpiece set the tone for the room. There were so many choices but I finally settled on an elegant LED curtain chandeliers. Soft white lights glowing down strings of crystals. It was the perfect touch.
Shockingly enough the night went off without any undue catastrophes,. There were of course, minor details to be attended to like the kitchen was given the wrong color for our wedding. They had done all the displays in black and red and our colors were black, cream and green. Can't combine them or you have red and green, Christmasy. But they quickly changed accents and all was well.
A wedding is an incredible amount of work, but at the end of the day, they usually turn out just fine and the endless details are well rewarded.
